Meet Martin Karlsson – new sales representative at Bala Agri

We are strengthening our sales team and welcome Martin Karlsson to Bala Agri. With extensive experience in forestry and agriculture—and a daily routine that still largely takes place in the forest—he brings both practical knowledge and a deep understanding of our customers’ needs to this role.

Martin lives in Norra Vånga with his wife and their three children, who are now almost grown up. He has been interested in land and forests his whole life, and this interest is still a natural part of his everyday life.

"In my spare time, I enjoy hunting with my family's hunting dog and operating harvesters in my own forest. This means that I always have a close connection to how machines and equipment work in practice and understand the challenges," says Martin.

With the forest as his home turf

His journey into the forestry and agriculture industry began early, growing up on his family's farm and attending a forestry high school in Sparresäter in the 1990s. Since then, Martin has held several different roles within the forestry sector.

"I have worked as a harvester operator, forest inspector, forest machine instructor, and even as a forest machine salesperson. This has given me a broad understanding of both the machines and everyday life out in the field with customers," he explains.

For us at Bala Agri , being close to our customers and dealers Bala Agri crucial, and that’s also what appeals to Martin about the role of sales representative.

"The most interesting thing is being able to offer advice and help find solutions that really match people's needs," he says. I often think about how I would have reasoned in the same situation.

In his role, Martin will work with both Bala Agri’s and Vreten’s products, which he sees as a clear strength.

"It's about Swedish quality and proximity to the factory. These are products I'm familiar with and can really stand behind," says Martin.

What he is most looking forward to is contributing his knowledge of forestry and forestry machinery and building long-term relationships. He wants to be clear with our dealers right from the start.
