This is the road grader for professionals. This model is designed for those who drive really long distances on roads—and do so frequently. The grader stands out from the rest and is primarily aimed at contractors, road associations, or anyone offering road maintenance services. This road mower offers entirely different capabilities and settings than our other models; the rear wheels are designed to compact the road surface, and it comes equipped with a hydraulic swath spreader. The ability to adjust the wheels allows you to find the optimal settings for maximum efficiency. A common concern when collecting grass from the edges is that it comes with clumps of grass and other unwanted objects that pass through the cutting bars and get stuck in the swath spreader. You can easily avoid this by folding up the swath spreader and “releasing” the clump of grass. Another advantage of the hydraulic system is that you can raise the swath spreader when reversing. The road rake is equipped with a hydraulic primary blade that you can adjust yourself to set the desired depth. This allows you to choose whether to rake more or less material. Often, you’ll want to rake more if you’re maintaining a rough road. At the front of the road grader is a piston that allows you to angle the grader toward the roadside. This makes it possible to pick up more gravel, allowing you to reuse the road’s existing base material. Above all, this is an advantage as today’s tractors are getting larger and larger, making it harder to angle the grader. With the V4-240, you instead have a hydraulic drive. The road scraper’s load box can handle weights up to 750 kg. The first cutting edge consists of toothed steel that can be replaced with System 2000. In that case, it features carbide tips with a rotating motion pattern. The advantage of this is that the natural movements cause the metal to wear more slowly while removing more material. This is particularly beneficial for heavily compacted roads that must withstand heavy or high traffic loads.
